We are going back2basics of how club nights should run with old skool values mixed with fresh talent, fresh faces, fresh music and a fresh vibe culminating in a quality weekly Saturday house party at Sydney's best intimate clubspace Favela. There will be occasional big international acts which Favela has now become accustom. Acts such as Ewan Pearson, Deadmau5, Satoshi Tommie, DJ Gregory, Stacey Pullen, London Elektricity, Justin Martin, Chuck Love & Colette already having performed previously at the club, However the focus will be to concentrate on solid quality music week in week out with a great crop of quality and passionate Sydney's DJing talent mixing the established and new all sharing the same passion of quality house music played on quality sound system in a quality club space.
Getting the basics right of Sound, Lighting, and most important the music is a massive thing for us,something a lot of venues pay less attention to and only seem to care about ways of getting ppl through the doors,
So for Musik Matters we are paying a lot of attention to detail for the actual club night experience and of course the Music, making a lot of changes production wise at Favela in terms of lighting, tweeking of the Funktion One sound system and other major interior changes to give the club a totally different feel,
Musically, the night will be programed to build up the RIGHT WAY. Starting with a warm-up and building up through until to close. This will definitly not just be 3 popular djs who play another million places that night each thrashing out the same tracks from the word go until close. There will be NO pressure from promoters or owners on DJs to play big tunes at their own request as the DJ is in control of the music........as after all MUSIK MATTERS
